At Ayer Panas Waterfall
We set off for the waterfall after lunch. For those like Kuna and family who do not want to climb up to the upper pools, they can stay at ground-zero pools.
Aily and friend leading down the steps. At the beginning of the journey up, it can be up or down depending on the contour of the land.
After a while, it will be either level or upwards.
Sometimes it can be steep but hand rails are around to help. Here you can see Thian at the forefront.
and because it was raining earlier, it can be slippery, so has to be careful.
After some steep climb, a good breather beside a giant rock at the background. We can catch our breath before continuing.
This scene was taken when we were quite near to the top. It is a rocky slope downwards but the ground-zero pools were already out of sight by then.
This is me, and behind me water splashing non-stop at high speed and is not accessible due to danger of being swept down.
We had reached the first pool at the top. There were 2 more pools further up, but because it was raining, it will be dangerous to climb the rocky slope without steps.
To reach the upper pools, one has to walk up this path, can be slippery too. The upper pools cannot be seen from this picture.
Omar and sons enjoying a dip at the pool, all to themselves. The others were just warming up. I had finished my job bringing them up the slope and then started to make my way back home down the mountain while they enjoy their time there.
